For focusing and deflecting of diverse particle beams the large variety of magnetic systems is developed. As well as superconducting systems, modern permanent magnet materials allow to design magnetic assemblies for producing extremely high-intensity and high-gradient field for particle accelerators, mass-spectrometers, evaporation technique (magnetic traps) and so on.
